Stonework is the foundation of our passion for masonry. There are so many ways to bring the elements of nature into a home. Stonework is often a most treasured aspect to homeowners for the same reasons that we love doing it. River rock facing adds something to a home that can be viewed as a beautiful and harmonious organization of natural material. We like to hand pick river rock for our installations whenever possible. There are lifetimes of mesmerizing river rocks in the West Kootenay region, ranging in color, shape, and size. We can custom pick rocks and stones to suit the desired aesthetic qualities of the homeowner.

The Kootenay area is also home to many rock quarries. Flagstone, ledge stone, and dry stack rocks are readily available in the spring, summer, and fall. At Kerr Masonry, we take great pride in using quarry stone for outdoor projects such as driveways, patios, paths, steps, retaining walls, ponds and barbecue surround. It is especially gratifying to use the natural stone material in direct relation to the earth. Properly built driveways, paths, steps and retaining walls provide a true connection to nature within the landscapes of homes and properties. Interior applications a common as well. Granite ledgestone can add an unparalleled aesthetic to an indoor fireplace. As easily as it can on an exterior column.
